Our recommended reading lists have been designed to challenge and entertain! They include a variety of fiction and non-fiction books and poetry.

KS3 Subject Reading Lists 

English

These reading lists provide a choice of wider reading material that supports the core text currently being taught in your child's English class.

We encourage students to read at least 2 of the books on the list per learning cycle. This will help to provide a better understanding of the the core text, including: the historical context, genre, themes, form and subject matter. 

There is no substitute for wider reading to further your child's progress in English.
