The Norwood School

Careers Fair 2017

Universities, Apprenticeship Training Providers, Careers Advisors and Colleges join us for another successful event.

Over 25 universities, colleges and training providers joined us to help advise and inform Year 9, 10 11 and Lower Sixth on possible career and further education pathways. It was an excellent opportunity to raise aspirations and broaden horizons. There was plenty of information about the changing labour market and the importance of gaining the best qualifications. Many employers and student ambassadors spoke to the students about being adaptable, enterprising and resilient. We were delighted to see so many parents join their children this year and were also pleased to welcome Yr 9's from St Martins too.

Feedback from staff, parents and students was overwhelmingly positive. The Careers Fair compliments our on-going Careers Programme that combines a variety of school based activities, for example - assemblies, workshops and qualified independent careers advice with offsite provision, trips and visits to the workplace, visits to universities and colleges, Industry Days, Student Finance Talks and work experience placements in the Sixth Form.
