Following a short talk about his background and career and how he got into local politics, Jack hosted a round table discussion on a range of issues that were of interest to the students, including knife crime, domestic abuse, austerity, Brexit and the future of the Labour party.

It was an eye opening discussion and great to find out what happens on the 'inside' of local politics- Jasmine  Yr 11

I thought that it was great to have the chance to discuss politics and the challenges we face with someone who is in a seat of power and seems to care about the community he serves- Saara  Yr 12.
