Sixth Form
Students in Years 12 and 13 should commit to 6 hours of independent study per subject. This includes use of study periods.
Students are expected to have completed preparatory work prior to lessons; failure to do so may result in their forfeiting the right to attend a lesson until all outstanding work is completed in their own time, through Compulsory Catch-up Club (after school in the Study Zone).
Tasks set will focus on developing the following key skills:
- Extensive reading and effective note-taking;
- A range of advanced research strategies;
- Developing awareness of the wider world, culture and workplace that pertain to the subject;
- The development of critical thinking skills.
