The Norwood School

History Rewards Trip

Congratulations Year 7 and 8!

A great time was had by a special group of Year 7 and 8 students who travelled to Clapham Picturehouse recently.  They were selected because of their top quality homework on their black British hero.  They delighted their teachers by researching people as diverse as Stormzy.  Tommy Martin, the boxer and John Blanke, a trumpeter at the court of Henry VIII.  They went to the cinema to listen to Tony Warner, a Black Histroy expert, who delivered a talk with film clips about the history of black people in Britain. They were a credit to the school, they participated extremely well, asking and answering questions and also demonstrating their own knowledge  -  Tony was impressd with their attitude, maturity and knowledge.  Congratulations to the following students who were on the trip:

Well Done to you all - Shaydee Fissirou, Shyanne Bean, Emma Law, Izabela Labedzka. Teddy Sturgeon, Ruth Renken, Vaness Baolgun–Palmer, Wiktoria Krupczak, Esme Lewis, Lana Ahmed, Kemarni Hutchins -Barnett, Luke Finch, Sam Holden, Faith Jackson, Isiah Williams -Rene
