World Book Day 2018
The Library turned into the wonderful world of Willy Wonka - inspired by the Roald Dahl classic Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. A huge thank you to everyone for making the day such fun!
We wanted to continue to help encourage all of our pupils to engage with reading!
We all know that reading is incredibly important, whether to access the curriculum and improve attainment or for positive emotional, wellbeing when reading for pleasure. dressing up, games, competitions, storytelling, treasure hunts, teachers reading from their favourite books and chocolate fountains were just some of the activities that attracted record numbers to the ‘sickly sweet wonderland’ throughout the day! Don’t forget to collect and 'spend' you World Book Day voucher! Thank you to everyone for taking part!
