Students Visit to Wimbledon School of Art

Thank you to Miss Ockwell for organising Wimbledon School of Art this week.

As part of the University of the Arts London   - Wimbledon School of Art has long had an excellent reputation for courses associated with the theatre – costume design for stage and screen, set, sound and lighting design for example.  It is always fascinating to see practitioners at work in the studios and the students enjoyed the tour, seeing the amazing facilities, talking to staff and undergraduates and seeing a short production inspired by environmental issues using contemporary puppetry.

Joel said -  ‘ I really enjoyed the puppet show and the whole day was definitely a new experience.  I liked the way they used puppetry to convey the messages about pollution. I will definitely take a lot form today.’

Vanessa found the whole experience very interesting and it became an eye opener for what she might like to do in the future. She thought that the show was extraordinary.
