Women of the World Festival - Southbank

Yr 10 and Sixth Form students marked the tenth anniversary of WOW – Women of the World festival,  taking part in the biggest and bravest festival yet at the Southbank.

Students participated in a series of workshops with artists and poems devising their own performance and visuals, celebrating  inspirational strong women, that were shared with other visitors. they also had the opportunity to listen to and meet some  of  WOW’s line-up of world-class speakers, activists and performers to explore the state of gender equality across the globe and tackle the subjects that matter most to women and girls across the world today.

This year’s festival featured Naomi Wolf, Deborah Frances-White (The Guilty Feminist), Scarlett Curtis, Sandi Toksvig, Emma Dabiri and Shazia Mirza.

Maya in Year 10 said - 'It was the best school trip I have ever been on - so inspirational !'
