The Norwood School

Who said 'Lockdown Learning' was boring?

It has been delightful to see all the creative practical work coming back into school that the children have completed during lock down. This was just one of the many fabulous 'favela' that was brought in this week - well done Simon in 7HRO.

Students clearly enjoyed learning about artist JR.

Why not take a look for your self at his work  - follow link here

'He has pasted huge photos of the faces and eyes of local women all over the outside of the favela, suddenly giving a female gaze to both the hill and the favela.' Artnet.

Read more about why he felt compelled to create this astonishing work - here.

Brilliant work Year 7 and thank you to the hard working Visual Arts team who continued to engage the children in wonderfully topical, thought provoking contemporary, creative projects throughout lock down!
