Dear Yr 13 Students, families and carers,
Results Day - Thursday 13th August 2020
After a rollercoaster few months, we are really pleased to be able to invite you to join us in school on Results Day. We are so proud that so many of you have kept in touch, responding to recommended activities and keeping stoic, despite the cancellation of your exams and farewell activities. We are looking forward to seeing you at school to congratulate you on your successes on the 13th August.
INTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY
Year 12 Sixth Form Enrolment Day
We are looking forward to seeing you on 20th August 2020, when the GCSE examination results are published. In light of the requirement to socially distance and to avoid lengthy queues we will be separating results day into two sessions.
Students with surnames beginning with A-L – please arrive between 9 -12pm
Students with surnames beginning with M-Z – please arrive between 12-3pm
All students must enter via the back gate (Elder Rd entrance). Results will be collected from the sports hall.
We will be operating a one way system.
Enrolment into Year 12 will then take place in the large canteen. Students and parents will be enrolled on a first come first served basis, we will have a larger admission team than usual to help advise students and reduce waiting time.
Students & parents will also have access to careers advice and guidance if this is required.
All students will then exit from the front entrance on Crown Dale.
Please do not attempt to enter via the front entrance, please also ensure that you arrive in your designated session.
Please see letter emailed to Parents and Students on Tuesday 26th May 2020
Dear Parents and Carers
I wanted to write to you all to reassure you that your son/daughter’s conditional offer at the Norwood School remains secure.
We are looking forward to meeting you on October 17th.
I was sceptical at first when my friends insisted we apply for an award. I thought, surely, we didn’t have the skills to develop and carry out a plan completely independently, but still, we went for it. We researched, planned and budgeted and before we even started, we already knew we were more able than we expected; not only did we manage to finish a plan, itinerary, meal plans, it was good enough to earn an award!
The whole of our new Lower Sixth went to our partner university at Sussex to enjoy a University Taster Day.
