Yr 13 and A Level Results Day Arrangements

14th July 2020
Dear Yr 13 Students, families and carers,
Results Day - Thursday 13th August 2020
After a rollercoaster few months, we are really pleased to be able to invite you to join us in school on Results Day. We are so proud that so many of you have kept in touch, responding to recommended activities and keeping stoic, despite the cancellation of your exams and farewell activities. We are looking forward to seeing you at school to congratulate you on your successes on the 13th August.
On results day the school will be open from 9 am. All Year 13 students should arrive to collect their results. If you cannot attend you can send a parent or a sibling but you need to have emailed me and Mr Cox ahead to give permission for us to pass on your results by Tuesday 11th August at the latest.
For the safety of staff and students we have introduced a one way system.
Entrance by the main school entrance and through the office.
Please wait in line, leaving a two metre space between you and the person in front or behind - clear markings are on the floor on the way into school.
Please sanitise/wash hands on arrival.
You will receive your results and you can have a photo outside with your results and teachers/friends (all observing social-distancing).
Exit via back gate on Elder Road.
Remember that we would recommend that you walk to school where possible, if you are travelling by public transport, you may need to leave more time, buses currently have a limited number of passengers on board and you MUST wear a face mask.
We know that many of you will be successful in your applications to university. For those that are not, we will be on hand to offer the support and guidance you might need. Ms Boyle, our Careers Adviser will also be in should you need her help as will Kanekwa from the Access Project. We will be on hand for students who may need to research courses and call universities. We ask that you bring a charged phone with you. We will also be sending information regarding Adjustment, Clearing and next steps via email, so please check your school email regularly, as we build up to the day. You MUST check your UCAS Track on results day day and follow the instructions provided online.
If you will require your book deposits back, you must ensure that you bring all text books and other resources back, clearly labelled, in a bag with your name on. Cheques/Payments will be issued as soon as subject leaders have signed for resources. Please make sure we have your most current contact details. (including mobile numbers). All Chromebooks/Macbooks (laptops) that were borrowed during lock down need to be returned, as do locker keys for the return of the locker deposit.
In the meantime we wish all students a restful few weeks and look forward to seeing you on Thursday 13th August 2020.
Yours sincerely,
Miss Fleming and Mr J Cox
