Examination Topics and Revision Summer 2022
Please see detailed documents attached below.
Dear parents/ carers,
As the summer term is now in full flow, please take a moment to read the following information and guidance regarding independent learning and exam readiness.
End of Year Examinations
Non terminal exam years (i.e. all except years 11 and 13) are now preparing for end of year exams in all their subjects. These exams will cover all topics covered across the year. They may also include essential knowledge from previous years. A list of all the topics to be covered by these examinations can be found here below.
They will take place over the following dates:
Years 7-9: Monday 6 th - Friday 17th June
Year 10 and 12: Monday 13th- Friday 24th June
You will have already received the timetable for GCSE and A Level public exams for years 11 and 13.
In order to ensure students are as well-prepared as they can be for their exams, they will need to:
have a clear, manageable plan of the topics they are going to revise over the next month and know what dates they are working towards.
be able to access and use all the revision materials (online and other) they need to study independently.
know how to revise effectively outside of the classroom and understand their strengths and weaknesses in each subject.
These three points are (and will be) clearly modelled by teachers and tutors this term. Additional guidance for parents and students has been sent out to you and can also be found here.
Please help your child stay mentally well in the lead-up to the exams by:
checking in regularly with them on how revision is going;
keeping their confidence high;
helping them plan their revision sessions and include regular breaks;
ensuring they get enough sleep, eat healthily and have plenty of water;
ask their teachers if you are unsure on anything.
Thank you in advance for working with us to create success together.
