Artsweek and Sports Days 2017

Arts Week: 10th – 14th July and Sports Day at Tooting Bec 17th July

Preparations and lots of hard work are currently under way for this year’s Summer Arts Week and our Sports Days. As always, we know that both staff and children are really looking forward to the huge variety of events and activities that will be on offer. It would be very helpful to those of us who are organising everything if you could kindly return your son/daughter’s permission slip (attached) for both Arts Week and Sports Day promptly by Thursday 29th June and complete the financial contribution on “Wisepay”. It has made such a difference over the past two years that children have contributed towards the Arts Week and your contribution means that we are able to offer an even wider range of trips and visits (some using coaches this year) and also ensures that we are able to invite the highest calibre of artists and speakers into school to deliver engaging workshops. The costs of any transport during the week will be organised by the school – although children will need to have their oyster cards on them each day. The whole school will be out at the seaside or the Lido this year on Thursday 13th July. Students have had assemblies explaining how they can opt for a particular type of trip – please see list of trips and permission slip attached. We will do whatever we can to ensure that each child has a trip of their choice but we will allocate places on a first come first served basis. To secure a place on the trips you must complete and return your reply slip and have paid your contribution on Wisepay. Reply slips and payments will be dated for fair allocation of places. The cost of the trips and all special workshops and visitors who will be coming into school during the week are all being heavily subsidised by the school and please remember that your contribution will be paying towards the cost of the whole week NOT just the trips. For any trips, you will need to provide your child with a packed lunch unless they have free school meals, in which case they will be provided with one from the school.
