The Norwood School

The Crucible

One of the most powerful pieces of drama we have ever seen at Norwood.

Mr Crisp and Mr Blakelock’s reworking of Arthur Miller’s classic delivered tender chemistry, clever characters and moving, mesmerising, powerful performances. Arthur Miller’s ‘The Crucible’ might not sound like a typical choice for a summer school production but this year’s show was a true theatrical classic. The staging, costumes and intense performances from students as young as Year 7, to the more experienced Sixth Form actors was a truly memorable. A thought provoking occasion, we all agreed, a show that will most definitely go down in history as one of our best ever productions.
