The School Nurse
A message from the School Nurse Service
The school nursing service would like parents/carers to know that they can contact us via the Parentline texting service, particularly over the summer break. Could you please share the following with your parents/carers. I have also attached a JPEG image.
Text your school nurse
During these unsettling times, as a parent/carer of a child aged between 5-19 year olds, you may be worried about your child’s health and wellbeing and be unsure about how to get the help you need.
Our school nurses are still here to help - you can text them for confidential advice and support on a wide range of issues.
Parent/carers of child(ren)and young people aged 5-19 living or going to school in Southwark & Lambeth can text: Parentline 07520 631 130
We can help with all kinds of things like:
• Emotional health
• Minor accidents and illnesses
Your Parentline messaging service is run by Evelina School Nursing Service and is available Monday to Friday 9am to 5 pm throughout the year. We aim to reply to you within one working day and you should get an immediate bounce-back to confirm we received your text. Texts will not be seen outside of normal working hours.
If you need help before you hear back from us, contact you GP, NHS 111 or dial 999 if it is an emergency.
Find out more about the service and confidentiality on the Evelina London website: www.evelinalondon.nhs.uk/parentline
