Network Rail Competition Winner!

During lock down in their Product Design lessons year 9 students entered a national STEM competition delivered by the IET and Network Rail.

The brief was to design an innovative product that would help Network Rail with their waste management.

We were delighted to receive the news that Jasper was chosen as a winner for his invention. Well done Jasper!

"My product is a small box that is handed to you at the doors of the station. All litter collected from purchases are to be scrunched up and put in the correct compartments. When it’s time to get on the train, there will be large bins at each doors for the boxes to be scrunched up and disposed of.

A QR code will be on each of these bins for you to scan along with the code located on the side of the box, to activate reward points in the Network Rail app for discounts off of future purchases in the station."
