It was delightful to see so many cheerful, enthusiastic children joining us last week. We are right to be proud of our much admired Induction and Transition Programme – the children all seemed so confident, many of them having already made friends at some of the popular events and activities that we have hosted over the last few months including exhibitions, workshops, trips to the theatre, friendship tea parties and performances. The children enjoyed taster sessions in English, Maths, Science and Languages as well as being given the chance to let off a bit of steam in PE sessions. Their first school lunch went down a treat – thanks to Carol and her team and it gave Ms Knight (Head of Year 7) and her tutor team the chance to meet parents and get to know their tutees before wishing everyone a happy summer holiday.
