More Songwriting Success
Following a fantastic effort in the Music Showcase just before half term – we have heard yet more good news about our talented Sixth Formers.
Shamar Brown in the Upper Sixth managed to get down to the last few competitors in a song writing competition run by School Ground Sounds an organisation that we work with through Lambeth Music services that provides students with industry workshops and performances.

Tom Scott the Founding Director said that his song had ‘potent lyrics with a personal message of determination and focus. Well done. Would be great to hear the main vocal doubled up in the chorus to really give it that extra push.’
Both Shamar and Shamanie have also been involved in Grit School workshops and performances this last term http://www.schoolgroundsounds.org/2016/03/23/the-grit-school/ and are hoping to become more involved in some of the enrichment opportunities on offer through School Ground Sounds including Recording Studio Experience, their Mentoring Programme and their Music Industry Crash-Course.
