Parent Governors

Our Parent Governors

Parent Governors at The Norwood School have at least one student in the school, and have been elected by fellow parents and carers to represent them on the Governing Body.

Our current parent governors are:

  • Gregor Truter

  • Ros Millam

  • Alex Onyemerekwe

  • Tim Martin

  • Carolyn Ross

What Parent Governors Do

Parent governors are full members of the Governing Body of The Norwood School, and bring their experience and knowledge to contribute to the successful running of the school. They represent the parent community as a whole.

As with other governors, being a parent governor is a “hands off” role, meaning that governors will oversee how the school is run and challenge the senior leadership team where necessary, but they do not get involved in the day-to-day running of the school.
